Ashwin Deshmukh, M.D.

Dr. Ashwin Deshmukh graduated from Princeton University in 1991 with Honors in Chemistry and a Certificate at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy, where he won the 1991 Woodrow Wilson Award. He was subsequently accepted to Harvard Medical School and graduated in 1995. He did his surgical internship at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and his orthopedic surgery training at the Harvard Combined Orthopedics Program.
Dr. Deshmukh has won numerous international awards for his research in orthopedic surgery including the Neer Award by the Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons society, the Perry Award by the Orthopaedic Rehabilitation society, and the Kilfoyle award by the New England Orthopaedic Society. In 2012 Dr. Deshmukh was recruited to Shanghai United Family Hospital (SHU), where he serves as the Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. Dr. Deshmukh is joining the Board of Advisors of Pacific Springboard and will lead the Medical Advisory Board.
